PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the 2nd respondent herein to consider the petitioner representation dt.12.12.2019, seeking compensation under the TN Victim Compensation Scheme, 2013 in the light of the Government Order dt.30.11.2013 in G.O. (MS).No.1055, Home (Police XX) issued by the Home Department (Police XX), Tamil Nadu Government within the time frame work to be stipulated by this Court.

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner dt.12.12.2019, wherein the petitioner is seeking for compensation under the Tamil Nadu Victim Compensation Scheme, 2013.

2.Heard Mr.G.Mageshkumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Mohamed Riyaz, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents 3.This Court directed the Additional Public Prosecutor to take notice on behalf of the 1st and 2nd respondents also. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this petition, without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 12.12.2019, under the Tamil Nadu Victim Compensation Scheme, 2013 and pass appropriate orders, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the 2nd respondent along with all the relevant documents and also a copy of this order. 5.This criminal original petition is disposed of with the above directions.
