PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to select and give appointment to the petitioner for the post of Conductor in the existing or future vacancies on the ground of gender equality by considering G.O.No.89(P&A) dated 17.02.1989 within a time to be stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to give appointment to the petitioner for the post of Conductor in the existing or future vacancies on the ground of gender equality by considering G.O.Ms.No.89 (Personnel and Administrative Reforms) dated 17.02.1989.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner participated in the selection process for the post of Conductor,

but, she was denied employment. Hence, the present petition has been filed. However, the learned counsel submits that now the petitioner crossed the age of more than 50 years and therefore, nothing survives for adjudication in this petition.

3. Recording the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
