The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 & 2 to conduct the enquiry by 1st respondent about the registration of the Settlement Deed dated 20.08.2014 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

registered as Doc.No.1996/2014 at Periamet Sub-Registrar's Office, executed by Mr.M.K.Babu (R-3 herein ) in favour of his wife Mrs.V.L.Indirani (R-4 herein) and his daughter Mrs.Sowparnika Babu (R5 herein).

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner received a copy of a communication sent by the 1st respondent to the District Registrar (Central), Chennai, dated 29.01.2019 calling upon the District Registrar to take action under Section 68 (2) of the Registration Act, based on the complaint filed by the petitioner. Therefore, he submitted that in view of the said communication issued by the 1st respondent, this writ petition may be closed by recording the subsequent development.

3. Considering the above stated submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is closed, without expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
