O R D E R
The Indian Dental Association has filed a Writ Petition for a direction to direct the First Respondent to consider the representation dated 01.09.2011. The said representation reveals that there is rampant advertising by several persons and group of persons styling themselves as corporate bodies. The Petitioner has raised violations with reference to the Dentists Regulation (Code of Ethics) 1976.
2. This Court is of the considered opinion that the First Respondent-Tamil Nadu State Dental Council is bound to look into such complaint received from any person and initiate appropriate action.
3. Medical profession being a noble profession, such serious complaint is to be looked into and violators are to be prosecuted in the manner known to law and actions are to be initiated under the provisions of the relevant Statutes.
4. This being the principle is to be followed, the first respondent is directed to look into the complaints then and there and initiate appropriate actions by following the procedures as contemplated under Law.
5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
