ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.) This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to produce the petitioner's son namely Udaya @ Udayakumar, aged about 26 years, before this Court and direct to be handed over to the petitioner.

2. None appears for the petitioner. Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. It is the case of the petitioner that his son Udayakumar, aged about 26 years, working as a Mechanic went missing on 20.02.2015, in connection with which a case in E-1 Ponneri Police Station Cr.No.64 of 2015 for "Man Missing" has been registered on 26.02.2015 and investigation is in progress. The respondent police have filed a detailed Status Report detailing the steps taken by them for securing the missing person

4. Hence, we are of the opinion that there is no illegal detention of the said Udayakumar, warranting issuance of Writ of Habeas Corpus Petition. Accordingly, this petition is closed with a direction to the respondent police to proceed with the investigation in Cr.No.64 of 2015 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any.
