The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 20.01.2024 for the offences punishable under Sections 392 and 397 of IPC in Crime No.26 of 2024, seeks bail.

2.It is stated by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondent that a proposal to detain the petitioner under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 is pending.

3.At this stage, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed with liberty to file a fresh petition after three weeks.
