Respondents Writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India filed praying for issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus calling for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by second respondent dated 30.05.2018 in Memo No.359/BCDFGISSSV/2018 against the petitioner's cousin brother Karthik @ Idumbavanam Karthik, S/o.Tamilselvan, aged about 27 years, who is confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu before this Court and set him at liberty. (Order of the Court was made by C.T.SELVAM, J) Petitioner is the cousin of the detenu, Karthik @ Idumbavanam Karthik S/o.Tamilselvan, who has been branded as 'Goonda' under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 and detained under orders of second respondent passed in No.359/BCDFGISSSV/2018 dated 30.05.2018. 2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor, would submit that the detention order passed against the detenu in No.359/BCDFGISSSV/2018 dated 30.05.2018 on the file of the second respondent is revoked vide G.O.Rt.No.2895, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIII) Department, dated 12.07.2018 and produced a copy of the said order.

In view of the above, this petition is closed as it has become infructuous.
