[Order of this Court was made by R.SUBBIAH, J] Petitioners have filed the present Writ Petitions seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus forbearing respondents from interfering with the running of petitioners' bunk shops at (i) Sydenhams Road, near Kannappar Thidal, Opposite to Indian Timbers, Chennai - 600003 (ii) Madhavaram MTC bus stop, Madhavaram Bypass Main Road, Opposite to Vinayagar Kovil, GNT Road, Chennai - 600110 and (iii) Mogappair Road, Near Mangal Eri Park, opposite to Canara Bank, Chennai - 600037, wherein selling petitioners' representations dated 17.12.2019, 16.11.2018 and 04.01.2020 are considered and decided as per the provisions of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood Regulation) Act, 2014, by respondents.

2. Heard learned counsel for petitioners and learned standing counsel appearing for respondents.

3. Learned counsel for petitioners submits that it would suffice if a direction is issued to respondents to consider the petitioners' representations dated 17.12.2019, 16.11.2018 and 04.01.2020 within a stipulated time.

4. Considering the said submission, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs respondents to consider the petitioners' representations dated 17.12.2019, 16.11.2018 and 04.01.2020 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of this order, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to petitioners.

The Writ Petitions are disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
