[Order of the Court was made by M.VENUGOPAL, J.] It comes to be known that the Government of Tamil Nadu had issued G.O.(Ms).No.389, Home (Prison-IV) Department, dated 04.06.2018 (through Additional Chief Secretary to Government) wherein at paragraph 5, it is observed as under: "5.Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under Article 161 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby remits the unexpired portion of sentence of imprisonment for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

life imposed on the life convict prisoner No.2230, Jeyapal son of Kannan confined in Central Prison-I, Puzhal be released prematurely, subject to the condition that he will execute the bonds as per usual terms and conditions."

2.In view of the fact that the Life Convict Prisoner No.2230, Jayapal, Son of Kannan confined in Central Prison -I, Puzhal, Chennai, today morning i.e. 06.06.2018 has been released prematurely, nothing survives for further adjudication in the present Habeas Corpus Petition.
