Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of certiorari calling for the records relating to the order dated 06.08.2015 of the respondent in respect of the car of the petitioner as set out in the Schedule hereunder and to quash the same. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed challenging the order dated 06.08.2015 of the respondent in respect of the car of the petitioner. 2.

The learned Government Advocate(crl.side) appearing for respondent submitted that pursuant to the registration of FIR in crime No.5 of 2013 registered for the offence under Sections 420, 120(b) of IPC and Section 5 of TNPID Act, the vehicle involved in the seizure mahazar was seized by the respondent. In order to settle the depositors, the vehicle was attached and the proceedings is pending before the TNPID Act. Insofar as the criminal case is concerned, the petitioner along with other accused persons were convicted in CC.No.6 of 2020 on the file of the TNPID Court, Chennai. 3.

Therefore, this writ petition is devoid of merits and liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
