ORDER

The revision petition is filed by the husband in a matrimonial dispute challenging the award of maintenance of Rs.3,000/- as against the claim in a sum of Rs.20,000/-. Learned counsel for the petitioner fairly conceded that he is not challenging the quantum of maintenance awarded, but only the character and attitude of the respondent-wife, who is allegedly living in

an adulterous life. However, that is a matter to be agitated in the main O.P. Section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act is an enabling provision for grant of interim maintenance only in the pending proceedings, de-hors, the merits of the case. Hence, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the award of maintenance and also the litigation expenses granted. However, the Principal Judge, Family Court, Coimbatore, is directed to dispose of the main O.P. as expeditiously as possible. With this direction, the Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, C.M.P. is closed. 23.01.2017 cs Copy to The Principal Judge, Family Court, Coimbatore.
