O R D E R
(Order of the Court was made by S.Manikumar,J) Petitioner has sought for a writ of mandamus, directing the District Collector, Chennai; the Commissioner of Police, Greater Chennai, Chennai and the Commissioner, Corporation of Chennai, Chennai, respondents 1 to 3, respectively, to permit the visitors of Marina beach to have access to the service road as well as beach sea shore with a consequential direction to the third respondent, to regulate the entry, on reasonable measures.
2. On the prayer sought for, Mr.E.Manoharan, learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that at one stage, to regulate traffic, motorcycles were parked during a point of time. Now, no vehicles are permitted to be parked in the pavement/platform abutting Kamarajar Salai meant for pedestrians.
3. Placing on record the above submission, as on today, the prayer sought for by the petitioner, does not survive. Accordingly, writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Sd/- Assistant Registrar(CS-II) //True copy// Sub Assistant Registrar mvs.
