Respondents Prayer: Petition field under section 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of habeas corpus, calling for records relating to the order of detention SC.No.73/2017, dated 07/12/2017 passed by the first Respondent and set aside the same as illegal and also to direct the respondents herein to produce the body and person of detenue M.Dineshkumar, S/o.Mani Aged 19 years, who has been termed as Goondas and now confined in Central Prison, Salem before this Hon'ble court and set him at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by C.T.SELVAM, J.] The petitioner, who is the mother of the detenu herein, viz., Dineshkumar, son of Mani, aged 19 years, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the first respondent by his order in S.C.No.73/2017, dated 07.12.2017 against her son branding him as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982].

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the first respondent as against the son of the petitioner herein dated 07.12.2017 has been revoked by the Government in G.O.Rt.No.138, Home, Prohibition & Excise [XV] Department dated 12.01.2018 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed as the same has become infructuous.
