O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the C.C.No.4111 of 2019, pending on the file of the Judicial Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Fast track Court-V, Chennai. 2.The case of the petitioner is that he is the complainant in C.C.No.4111 of 2019 pending on the file of Fast track Court-V (Metropolitan Magistrate-Saidapet) Chennai, for the offence under Section 138 of NI Act against the respondent. He would submit that the complaint is in respect of dishonour of cheque to the tune of Rs.1 Crore.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the case was taken on file in the year 2019, there is no progress and the petition filed by the petitioner under Section 143 of NT Act is also pending, thereby the present petition has been filed, seeking for a direction to dispose of C.C.No.4111 of 2019 within a specified period of time.

4.Taking into consideration of fact that it is a summary trial proceedings, a direction is issued to the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet (FTC V), Chennai to complete the trial and dispose of C.C.No.4111 of 2019 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one year from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
