O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to grant special time scale of pay of Rs.1300-3000+Grade pay of Rs.300/- with effect from 15.09.2010 as per G.O.Ms.No.385, Finance (Paycell) Department dated 01.10.2010 with all consequential service and monetary benefits.

2.As the petitioners are working as part-time Sweepers on consolidated pay for more than 10 years, their claim as per G.O.Ms.No.385, Finance (Paycell), Department dated 01.10.2010, all employees who had completed three years of service are eligible for special time scale of pay of Rs.1300-3000+Grade Pay of Rs.300/- with effect from 15.09.2010. In the meanwhile, the District Library Officer, Salem by his proceedings dated 15.06.2016 in Na.Ka.No.13/A/2016 had granted special time scale of pay for similar part time Sweepers based on various judgments passed by this Court. Since the petitioners are also eligible for the benefits as per G.O.Ms.No.385, Finance (Paycell), Department dated 01.10.2010, they made representations dated 18.10.2016, 21.12.2016 & 21.12.2016. Till date, as no orders have been passed, the petitioners have come forward with the present writ petition.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader, taking notice for the respondents and sought time to consider the petitioners' representations dated 18.10.2016, 21.12.2016 & 21.12.2016.

4.Accordingly, this Court directs the 3rd, 4th and 5th respondents to consider the petitioners' representations dated 18.10.2016, 21.12.2016 & 21.12.2016, in the light of G.O.Ms.No.385, Finance (Paycell), Department dated 01.10.2010 on merits and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
