ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the fourth respondent to register the name of the petitioner under the priority quota of legal heir of Freedom Fighter based on the representation dated 04.01.2012.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. It is seen that there is a change in recruitment to the post of appointment of Teachers. Accordingly, the petitioner has to pass Teacher Eligibility Test. Therefore, though the petitioner's name is registered in the Employment Exchange under the priority quota of legal heir of Freedom Fighter, he cannot be selected to the post of Teacher as per his seniority. That apart, the petitioner is the grand son of the Freedom Fighter and as such, his name cannot be included in the priority quota of Freedom Fighter.

4. Therefore, the writ petition is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
