PRAYER: Civil Revision Petition filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India to direct the Rent Controller/III Additional District Munsif Court, Salem in RCOP No.33 of 2024 and dispose of the same within a time-frame.

O R D E R

The civil revision petition is filed to direct the Rent Controller/III Additional District Munsif Court, Salem in RCOP No.33 of 2024 and dispose of the same within a time-frame.

2. The petitioner is the Landlord and the respondent is the tenant in RCOP No.33 of 2014 on the file of the Rent Controller/III Additional District Munsif Court, Salem. The petition was filed in the year 2014 and the same is still pending. In such circumstances, the petitioner has filed this present civil revision petition for a direction to the Trial Judge to dispose of the case within a time frame.

3. Further, pursuant to the direction of this Court, the Registry, on verification through e-filing, has reported that the total pendency of the Rent Controller/III Additional District Munsif Court, Salem, is 814 cases.

4. Considering the total pendency of the cases and also taking note of the fact that the above petition was filed in the year 2014, the Rent Controller/III Additional District Munsif Court, Salem, is directed to dispose of RCOP No.33 of 2024, within a period of eight months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
