Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.01.2017 and to mutate the revenue records in the name of the petitioner in respect of property admeasuring 0.24 acres out of 3.76 acres comprised in Survey No.249/1 situated at Madulambadi Village, Tiruvannamalai Taluk and District.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. The petitioner claims to have purchased the property admeasuring to an extent of 0.24 acres out of 3.76 acres, comprised in Survey No.249/1 situate at Madulambadi Village, Tiruvannamalai Taluk and District, through a registered Sale Deed bearing Doc.No.915/1987 dated 26.08.1987, registered on the file of the office of the Sub Registrar, Mangalam. According to the petitioner, patta in respect of the entire extent of 3.76

acres is jointly in the name of the sons and daughters of the purchaser in title, viz., Narayanan, in patta No.349. The petitioner, after the purchase, has submitted a representation dated 25.01.2017 to the respondents, praying for transfer of patta in respect of property purchased by her under registered Sale Deed dated 26.08.1987 and in spte of the receipt and acknowledgment, so far no orders have been passed and therefore, the petitioner came forward to file this writ petition. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the 3rd respondent to entertain the representation of the petitioner dated 25.01.2017 submitted by the petitioner, if the papers are otherwise in order and after putting the concerned person/s on notice, shall pass orders on merits and in accordance with law and within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as the person/s concerned.

The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
