PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the 1st respondent herein i.e., the Superintendent of Police, Thiruvallur District to take appropriate action as against the Sub Inspector of Police Mr.Narayana Moorthy serving under the 3rd respondent's office in pursuance of the petitioner's complaint dated 09.01.2016 within a stipulated period of time and to deal the matter according to law. This petition has been filed seeking direction to the 1st respondent herein i.e., the Superintendent of Police, Thiruvallur District to take appropriate action as against the Sub Inspector of Police Mr.Narayana Moorthy serving under the 3rd respondent's office in pursuance of the petitioner's complaint dated 09.01.2016. 2.It is seen that the complaint was lodged in the year 2016. Now, almost three years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
by the petitioner cannot be granted now. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh petition, on fresh cause of action, if so advised.
3.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
