Respondents PRAYER:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the 1st, 2nd and the 3rd respondents from furnishing any Information relating to the petitioner falling under the exemption Provisions of Section 8(1) (j) of the Right to Information Act, 2005 that may be sought for by the 4th, 5th, 6th and the 7th Respondents, without affording an opportunity to the petitioner under Section 11(1) of the Right of Information Act, 2005.

O R D E R

The prayer in the Writ Petition reads as follows:- forbearing the 1st, 2nd and the 3rd respondents from furnishing any Information relating to the petitioner falling under the exemption Provisions of Section 8(1) (j) of the Right to Information Act, 2005 that may be sought for by the 4th, 5th, 6th and the 7th respondents, without affording an opportunity to the petitioner under Section 11(1) of the Right of Information Act, 2005.

2. I have my own doubts regarding the sweep of power under Article 226 to direct the statutory Authority to perform its functions in a particular manner.

3. However, Mr.T.Sundararajan appearing for Mr.S.Gunaseelan, learned counsel for the respondents 4 to 7 would submit that the private respondents 4 to 7, who had sought for information are no longer interested in obtaining the information, since the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu had already taken action against the petitioner on the basis of some other complaint.

4. Recording the said statement, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
