The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.845 of 2016 and to file charge sheet in accordance with law.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he has lodged a complaint with the respondent police as against one Vikram Varatha and the same was registered in Crime No.845 of 2016. Though the said complaint was registered as early as on 05.11.2016, till date, final report was not filed. Hence, the present petition.

3. I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the respondent police to investigate the case in Crime No.845 of 2016 pending on his file and file a final https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

report, if not already filed, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
