The prayer sought for in the present petition is for direction to the respondent police to conduct further investigation and file a charge sheet.

2. Today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instruction submitted that the charge sheet has been filed and taken on file in P.R.C.No.21 of 2016 pending before the Judicial Magistrate, Cheyyar, Tiruvannamalai District.

3. In view of the same, the prayer sought for in the present petition has become infructuous. However, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Cheyyar, Thiruvannamalai District to conduct the trial as expeditiously as possible.
