The petitioner has come forward with this writ petition for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the the second respondent herein to impound the Indian Passport issued to the third respondent herein in passport No.L.863670, pending disposal of the criminal case registered against him in Cr.No.10/2005 on the file of the second respondent herein.

2. Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, Special Government pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, on instructions from the Head Constable of the second respondent police station would state that after investigation final report was laid against the third respondent and his parents in Charge Sheet No.3649 of 2006. This case was taken on file before the IV Metropolitan https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai in C.C.No.3819 of 2006 and the accused persons were acquitted, by a judgment dated 05.09.2008.
