The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the present writ petition is filed challenging the order of the 1st respondent refusing to approve the order of rejection. Pending writ petition, the 2nd respondent gave a representation dated 09.03.2007 for reinstatement with continuity of service without backwages. Based on the representation, the petitioner and the 2nd respondent entered into a settlement under Section 18
(1) of the Industrial Disputes Act for reinstatement with continuity of service without backwages, the 2nd respondent agreed that he will not file any further case against the management and the management has also agreed to withdraw the writ petition. Corporation sent a letter dated 12.08.2019 to its counsel to withdraw the writ petition. Hence, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw the writ petition and he has also produced copy of the letter dated 12.08.2019 addressed by the petitioner to that effect. 2.Recording the above submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
