The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of certiorarified mandamus to call for the records relating to the proceedings of the second respondent dated 08.06.2013 and to quash the same and consequently direct the second respondent to renew the permit of the petitioner for the auto rickshaw bearing registration No.TN-05-H-9877.

2. Mr.A.Baskaran, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, submitted that though the petitioner has filed the writ petition to issue a writ of certiorarified mandamus to quash the order dated 08.06.2013 passed by the second respondent, now the petitioner is seeking only a direction to the first respondent to pass orders in the petition filed before the first respondent on 30.10.2013.

3. Mr.A.Zakir Hussain, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents, submitted that the first respondent may be directed to dispose of the petition dated 30.10.2013 within a stipulated time.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's petition dated 30.10.2013 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With these observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
