Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to permit petitioner (having register No.14LT0012) to appear for the examination to be conducted on 2.3.2021 or on any other date for the subject "Land Laws including Local Laws" for 3 year-LLB course.

ORDER
The writ petition is filed for a mandamus directing the second respondent to permit the petitioner to appear for the examination to be conducted from 2.3.2021 for the "Land Laws including Local Laws" a 3 year-LLB course.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he joined the LLB course in the Dr.Ambedkar Government Law College in the year 2014 and appeared for the first Semester examinations in Deceber 2014 and II Semester examinations in May 2015 and thereafter, he had some physical ailments with certain emotional disturbance and got admitted in the Hospital and was undergoing treatment till February 2017. Therefore, he did not appear for the third Semester examinations to sixth Semester examinations which were held in the month of December 2015 to May 2017. Now, he got rid of all his ailments and the Doctors, who have treatment to the petitioner, have given a certificate to that effect. Based on the certificate, the petitioner requested the respondents to consider his case for permitting him to write the examinations and the third respondent has also forwarded the petitioner's representation to the second respondent on 9.2.201, despite the same, he has not received any Hall Ticket and therefore, he has approached this court.

Mr.M.Ravi, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the University, on instructions would produce a copy of the Proceedings dated 25.2.2021 issued by the Pondicherry University, Examination Wing to the Principal, Dr.Ambedkar Government Law College, Puducherry informing the College that the petitioner is permitted to write the examinations. The content of the said communication reads as under:- "With reference to the subject cited above, I am directed to inform you that Mr.T.Gowri Shankar L.L.B.(3 year) is hereby permitted to write the exam of Land Law including Local Law on 2.3.2021."
4. In view of the same, this writ petition is disposed by recording the submissions of the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent University. No costs. The connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
