Respondent Prayer: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.12.2017 within a time frame and allot the said lands in S.No.316/6B2 to the extent of 4650 sq.mts in favour of the petitioner's Trust, by fixing the land cost by the Government. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent. By consent of both sides, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The prayer sought for in this writ petition is for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.12.2017, within a time frame.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that when the earlier writ petition in W.P.No.36815 of 2016 came up for hearing, it was represented by the Tamil Nadu Housing Board that the petitioner had to give representation to the Secretary to Government, Housing and Development.

4. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the Tamil Nadu Housing Board had already handed over the property to the Revenue Department and therefore, the petitioner gave a representation to the respondent on 21.12.2017. Since no order has been passed, the present writ petition.

5. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that the Secretary, Tamil Nadu Housing Board is the Competent Authority. A similar request from the T.V. Employees Welfare Association is pending with the Tamil Nadu Housing Board.

6. In the light of the above submissions, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner, dated 21.12.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, after providing opportunities to the necessary parties, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7.With the above observation and direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
