O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by S. VAIDYANATHAN,J.) When the contempt petition is taken up for hearing, a communication dated 22.10.2021 addressed to the learned Government Advocate has been produced before this Court stating that a proposal for payment of a sum of Rs.17,78,904/- has been forwarded to the Block Educational Officer, Manur (Rastha), Tirunelveli District and that the amount would be settled within four weeks.

Taking note of the aforesaid communication stating that the amount would be settled within four weeks, the contempt petition is closed and the authority concerned is expected to settle the amount within a period of four weeks as stated in the communication failing which it is open to the petitioner to re-open the contempt petition.

The third respondent is present before this Court and her presence is hereby recorded.

A copy of the communication dated 22.10.2021, though addressed to the learned Government Advocate, shall be forwarded to the learned counsel for the petitioner within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
