This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking for issuance of writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent, the Director of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Chennai, to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 08.09.2016 filed against the order of punishment dated 03.12.2015 passed by the second respondent, District Collector, Krishnagiri District.
2.The petitioner had suffered an order of punishment dated 03.12.2015 at the hands of the District Collector, Krishnagiri District, the second respondent herein, imposing stoppage of increment for two years without cumulative effect. Aggrieved by https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the same, an appeal has been filed before the first respondent on 08.09.2016. As the petitioner is loosing several avenue of promotion, he has sought for early disposal of the pending appeal.
3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Mr.M.Digvijayapandian, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.
4.Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents sought three months time to consider the petitioner's appeal.
5.Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, without going into the merits of the case, the first respondent is directed to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner on 08.09.2016 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
