Mr.D.Suriyanarayanan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 to 4. Since this writ petition is being disposed of, without affecting the interest of the respondents 5 to 10, notice to those respondents is dispensed with.

2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider his representation dated 04.08.2017 and reminder dated 12.01.2018, wherein and whereby, he sought for cancellation of the Patta granted in the name of the respondents 5 to 10 and to grant Patta in his favour.

3. Heard both sides.

4. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that the said request has not been considered by the respondents. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the first respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.08.2017 and the reminder dated 12.01.2018 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner as well as the respondents 5 to 10 and other interested parties, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the first respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
