Thiruppur, presently detained in Central Prison, Coimbatore under Act 14/1982, branded as 'GOONDA' vide the detention order dated 28.12.2022 in C.No.78/G/IS/Tiruppur/2022 on the file of the 2nd respondent herein directing to produce the person or body of the detenu Sagadevan, aged 29 years, son of Kathiresan, before this Hon'ble Court and thereafter set him at liberty from the Central Prison, Coimbatore, by setting aside the above order. [Order of the Court was made by M.SUNDAR, J.,] This order will now dispose of the captioned 'Habeas Corpus Petition' [hereinafter 'HCP' for the sake of brevity].
2. Mr.B.Vasudevan, learned counsel on record for petitioner and Mr.E.Raj Thilak, learned Additional Public Prosecutor are before us.
3. Learned counsel on both sides submit that the impugned preventive detention order has since been revoked (Advisory Board) vide proceedings dated 20.02.2023 bearing reference G.O.Rt.No.965 Home, Prohibition and Excise (XII) Department.
4. In the light of the aforementioned undisputed position, common submission is made that nothing survives in the captioned habeas corpus Page Nos.2/4
petition.
