O R D E R

The contempt petition has been filled for the willful disobedience of the respondent in complying with the order passed by this 1/3

Court on 26.04.2013 in W.P.No.31849 of 2012.

2. No representation for the petitioner. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent on instructions would submit that in the second phase of counselling, in the interview category, all the posts was filled except one meant for S.C.(A) and as per the Rule of Reservation of appointment, the petitioner cannot be accommodated in the said post as she belonged to S.T. category and however, in the next phase, the said post was filled by S.C.(A) candidate. The learned counsel also stated that in the counselling held for non-interview posts, the petitioner had participated in the sixth phase under S.T.(W) category and she opted for the post of Assistant in Medical and Rural Health Services and though the said Department had issued appointment order dated 14.10.2014 to the petitioner directing her to join the post before 13.11.2014, the verification of records shows that the petitioner had not joined the Department.

3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent has also filed the counter affidavit of Mr.K.Nanthakumar, I.A.S., Secretary to Tamil Nadu Service Commission, dated 04.12.2020 and the same is taken on file and record.
