ORDER

This Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed seeking a direction to respondents 1 to 3 to provide necessary police protection for the ancestral deity festival of "Arulmigu Sri Karuppusamy Ayyanarappan" temple, situated at Seepuliyur, Pallipatti Village, Mettur Taluk, Salem District, which is scheduled to be held on 02.03.2026 and 03.03.2026 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 07.01.2026.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the 3rd respondent is directed to conduct an inquiry on the representation made by the petitioner on 07.01.2026, after issuance of notice to the petitioner and respondents 4 to 11 and pass appropriate orders within a period of one week

from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.
