..Respondents Prayer:- The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the proceedings of the 2nd respondent made in O Mu/A3/387/03, dated 24.10.2005, quash the same and direct the respondents to issue patta to the petitioner with respect to the lands measuring 1.39 acres comprised in S.No.124/5 Pallichandal Village, Thirukovilur Taluk, Villupuram District.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

2. This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the order of the second respondent dated 24.10.2005, whereby the appeal filed by the petitioner was rejected on the ground that it was beyond the period of limitation.

3. It seems that the Tahsildar, Thirukovilur issued patta in favour of one Paapaa and 9 others in respect of the land in S.No.124/5 of Pallichandal Village, Thirukovilur Taluk. The petitioner preferred an appeal before the second respondent without enclosing the order copy of the Tahsildar and beyond the period of limitation. Hence, by the impugned order, the appeal preferred by the petitioner was rejected.

4. It is represented by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents that the said Paapaa and 9 others had also sold the property to one Chinnathaye w/o. Govindaraj and patta was now issued in her favour in patta No.1108.

5. In the light of the above submissions, nothing survives for considering in this Writ Petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
