.. Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of certiorari, calling for the records pertaining to the proceedings initiated by the 2nd respondent herein in Se.Mu.Na.Ka.No. 2741/2003 A1, dated 7.12.2005 and quash the same.

The order placing the petitioner under suspension under Section 53 of HR & CE Act is challenged in this writ petition.

2. Mr.K.Shanmugavel Mudaliar, appearing in person would state that he was removed from the hereditary ship and the order of removal was challenged in a separate petition and the issue is now pending before the Hon'ble Supreme Court and the order of status quo also granted in his favour.
3. It is further submitted that in view of the subsequent development, the prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous and he seeks permission of this Court to withdraw this writ petition. He has also made an endorsement to that effect.
4. In the light of the above submission and the endorsement made by the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
