ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking a writ in the nature of the mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation made by petitioner dated 22.08.20022 and 14.01.2023 for Pay Drawn - Bill Drawn Certificate-I and furnish the same.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner was a Head Constable (HC 43643) in the respondent department. While in service, he was proceeded with departmentally and was not allowed to retire from service pursuant to the disciplinary action in P.R.No.6/2005 under Rule 3(b) of the Tamil Nadu Police Subordinate Service Rules, 1955.
3. It is the further case of the petitioner that while in service he availed House Building Advance (HBA) of a sum of Rs.1,94,000/- on 31.03.2000 from the 1st respondent. He decided to pay off the dues payable towards house building advance. The grievance of the petitioner is that despite repeated representations, he was not furnished with the details of number of installments and details of principal and interest amount paid on house building advance and the installments, if any, due and payable with break up details of principal
and interest.
4. Heard both sides and also perused the records carefully.
5. Having regard to the limited nature of the relief sought for in the writ petition and the age of the petitioner, this court, without going into the merits of the claim of the petitioner, directs the respondent competent to consider the representations dated 22.08.2022 and 14.01.2023 made by the petitioner and to to furnish the details as sought by the petitioner within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly with the above directions. No costs.
