Respondent Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representations dated 12.08.2016 and 21.10.2016 with regard to make entry of correct measurement in the patta by conducting re-survey the property comprised in Old S.No.53/4A3 New.S.No.16, situated at Virupatchi, Dharmapuri District within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. The petitioner had purchased the land admeasuring to an extent of 1295 sq.ft, Virupatchi Village, Dharmapuri Taluk and District vide registered Sale Deed bearing Doc.No.1202/1989 dated 15.09.1989, registered on the file of the office of the Sub Registrar, Dharmapuri and claims to be in possession and enjoyment of the said property and the petitioner was also issued with UDR/House Site patta in respect of 0.00.115 sq.m/ares/hectares and according to the petitioner it works out to 1255 sq.ft., only and whereas, as per the said Sale Deed, the extent of property purchased by him is 1295 sq.ft. The petitioner, in this regard, has submitted a representation dated 21.10.2016 to the respondents for carrying out rectification/correction in respect of the land mentioned in the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

above said patta and despite receipt and acknowledgment, no orders have been passed and hence, the petitioner came forward to file the present writ petition.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

Though the petitioner has prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 21.10.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
