(Order of the Court was made by N.KIRUBAKARAN,J.) This matter has been listed under the caption "For Clarification". The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the detenu can be sent without police escort but with a condition to appear before the jurisdictional police everyday during the period of leave.

2.Hence, this Court directs the respondents to release the detenu viz., Veerappan S/o.Thirupathi, Convict No.7493, now confined at Central Prison, Salem without police escort and without any payment of amount for a period of ten days commencing from 07.03.2020 at 11 a.m. and he shall return back to prison on 16.03.2020 at 6 p.m. 3.During the said period of leave, the detenu shall appear before the jurisdictional police viz., Dhivittipatti Police Station, Salem at 5 p.m. everyday.
