.. Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 5.9.2023 and thereby direct the respondents to demolish the old bus stand, toilet and

construct the new bus stand with all facility including toilets and other basic requirements.

ORDER

(Order of the court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.M.Ganesh Babu, learned counsel for the petitioner; Mr.A.Edwin Prabakar, learned State Government Pleader for respondent No.1; and, Mr.C.Gouthamaraj, learned counsel for respondents 2 and 3.

2. The contention of the petitioner is that the old bus stand and toilet be demolished and a new bus stand be constructed with all facilities, including toilets.

3. Learned counsel for respondents 2 and 3, on instructions, submits that Rs.3.00 crore is sanctioned for renovating the bus stand and to provide all facilities therein.

4. In view of the said statement, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. (S.V.G., CJ.) (D.B.C., J.) 06.03.2024 Index :
