ORDER
The prayer of the petitioner is to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 05.06.2023 under Section 16 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007.
2. On a perusal of the said appeal, instead of addressing the appeal to the District Collector, it is addressed to the Hon'ble Chief Minister's Special Cell. The Copy is marked to the District Collector. Therefore the appeal is also preferred to the District Collector at the relevant point of time, though the form is wrong.
3. In view thereof, this writ petition is disposed of on the following terms: (i) The petitioner shall once again prepare a clean copy of the appeal and within one week from the date of receipt of the web copy of the order, without waiting for the certified copy of the order, file the same before the District Collector by duly enclosing the earlier representation dated 05.06.2023. (ii) Upon receipt of the said appeal, the same shall be treated as within time and by issuing notice to the petitioner as well as the concerned parties, enquiry shall be conducted in the appeal in the manner known to law and the same shall be disposed of as expeditiously as possible, in any event not later
than five months from the date of receipt of the appeal from the petitioner. (iii) No costs.
