This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to deal with the petitioner's OnLine application dated 01.10.2024 wherein the petitioner is seeking for subdivision and for issuance of individual patta in the name of the petitioner with respect to the subject property.
2. Heard Mr.G.Magesh Kumar, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondent.
3. The petitioner is tracing his title through a registered sale deed dated 17.05.1967. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the patta is standing in the name of the predecessor in title. Learned counsel submitted that the petitioner is seeking for sub-division of the survey number and for issuance of patta in the name of the petitioner. Hence, the OnLine application was submitted on 01.10.2024 and the same was not acted upon.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the limited relief sought for in the writ petition, there shall be a direction to the respondent to deal with the OnLine application submitted by the petitioner on 01.10.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law and a decision shall be taken within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If, in the event of any other interested parties claiming right over the property, they shall also be put on notice before a final decision is taken. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
