ORDER

The petitioner, who is the son of Lagumamma, has come to this Court seeking mandamus directing the respondents to consider the pending representation dated 21.11.2017.

2. It is the claim of the petitioner that the petitioner's family owns property covered in Survey No.740/2B2 at Kothur Village, Hosur Taluk, Krishnagiri District. The petitioner's https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

mother viz., Lagumamma had applied for electricity service connection with the respondents on 26.11.2016 with her application Register No.605 under a scheme called Fast Track Power Supply (FTPS). On receipt of the said application, the first respondent also issued a proceedings in No.A2/07301507042536 dated 03.10.2017 and called for interview on 12.10.2017 for giving electricity service connection. In the meanwhile, the petitioner's mother passed away. Subsequently, the petitioner also took part in the interview with the death certificate and legal heir certificate of his mother and all other connected documents. But till date, there is no response forthcoming.

3. Mr.M.Varunkumar, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the second respondent sought for sufficient time to consider the pending representation.

4. This Court, considering the fact that the petitioner's mother, who applied for electricity service connection, passed away and the petitioner being the legal heir as he has been waiting, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.11.2017, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
