This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to provide police protection for the installation of Jio Network Tower by Reliance Jio Infocom Limited at the Petitioner's property situated in Survey No.2 to the total extent of 0.3 cents at Palapadi Village, Gururajapalayam, Anicut Taluk, Vellore District.
2. The case of the petitioner is that he is the owner of the property in Survey No.2 at Palapadi Village, Gururajapalayam, Anicut Taluk, Vellore District. The Reliance Jio Infocom Limited, which is the authorized body to install the towers on behalf of the Jio Network, had approached the petitioner for installing the Jio Network Tower in the petitioner's property and the petitioner had also consented for the same and the lease agreement was entered between the petitioner and the Reliance Jio Infocom Limited on 01.10.2021 for a period of twenty years. The petitioner had also given a consent affidavit to the Electricity Department for the installation of the towers on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
30.09.2021. They had also not raised any objection with regard to the installation of the Jio Network Towers in the petitioner's property. While so, some people in the locality had started interrupting into the installation process and they prevent them from installing the Towers in the property. Thereby, the petitioner had given a complaint on 26.01.2022 and since no action has been taken, the petitioner has approached this Court.
3. Mr.A.Gokulakrishnan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents police would submit that the petitioner's complaint dated 26.01.2022 was enquired and it was found that there is no objections from the locality and there is no disturbances from any people in the locality and the petitioner is entitled to carry out the work. In the event of any breach of peace or disturbance from any of the people of the locality, proper action will be taken by the second respondent police.
4. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
