Mr.Maharaja, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondent.
2. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. The petitioners have filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to appoint them as Hereditary Trustees of Arulmigu Sri Chenraya Perumal Koil, Sivadhapuram, Salem, by considering their application dated 04.07.2016.
4. When the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.Maharaja, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondent submitted that the O.A has been numbered as O.A.No.2 of 2017 on the file of the respondent and the appeal is posted on 14.06.2017 for hearing.
5. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the respondent may be directed to expedite the disposal of the appeal.
6. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side, the respondent is directed to dispose of the proceedings in O.A. No.2 of 2017, on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible. With this observation, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
