The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to provide police protection to the petitioner to enter into the petitioner's property measuring to an extent of Acre 0.73 Cents out of total extent of the land [punja] measuring 2 Acres and 36 Cents in survey No.118/0-73 Cents & survey No.122/1 measuring to
an extent of 20 Cents at Devadanampettai Village, Gingee Taluk, Villupuram District in view of the petitioner's representation dated 05.02.2022.
2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the owner of the subject property. The petitioner had earlier conducted survey and fixed boundary stones. However, the adjacent land owners are preventing the petitioner from fixing fence. Hence, the petitioner seeks for police protection.
3. When the matter is taken up today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submits that there seems to be boundary disputes between the petitioner and the adjacent land owners. If the petitioner fixes a date with the Taluk surveyor for surveying the land and if it is intimated to the third respondent police in advance, the third respondent police will give adequate protection.
4. Heard both the counsel and perused the materials available on record.
5. In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police, this Court directs the petitioner to fix a date with the Taluk Surveyor for surveying and intimate the same to the third respondent police. On receipt of the same, the third respondent police is directed to give adequate protection to the petitioner. With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
