Cont P No.319 of 2013 N.ANAND VENKATESH.,J The learned counsel appearing on either side submitted that the directions issued by this Court in the writ petition has been complied with.

This Court passed the final order in the contempt petition on 25.07.2022 and imposed a punishment against the 1st respondent to undergo simple imprisonment for a term of one week and to pay a fine of Rs.2,000/-. A further direction was also issued to the police to give police protection in order to enable the petitioner to complete the wiring work inside the flat.

After the above order was passed by this Court, counsel on record who was appearing for the 1st respondent engaged the learned senior counsel who made a mention before this Court and assured that the directions issued by this Court will be complied with in letter and spirit. Accordingly, this Court kept the order of simple imprisonment in abeyance. The 1st respondent paid the fine amount and the same was also recorded by this Court while passing the order dated 12.08.2022. 4.
In view of the fact that the directions issued in the writ petition has been complied with and the contemnor had also expressed unconditional apology before this Court and paid the fine amount, this Court is inclined to withdraw the punishment of imposing simple imprisonment against the 1st respondent through order dated https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
25.07.2022 and accordingly, the order dated 25.07.2022 stands modified.
