ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police not to harass the petitioner in connection with the Crime No.164 of 2017, on the file of the respondent police.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent.
3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the petitioner is not an accused in Crime No.164 of 2017, only the petitioner's vehicle is involved in the case.
4. Under such circumstances, blanket order of 'not to harass' cannot be passed. The petitioner is directed to appear before the respondent police and co-operate with the enquiry and during the course of enquiry, he shall not be harassed. However, if any cognizable offence is made out, this order would not be a shield against the arrest of the accused. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
