PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of The Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to close the trench dug, which is situated at Venkatesan Street, Rayapuram, Chennai-13 based on the representation of the petitioner dated 04.1.2018 within stipulated time may be fixed by this Court.

2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondents 2 and 4 gives an undertaking in court that the work of covering up the trench has already commenced and that the same will be completed within a week.
3. In view of the undertaking given by the learned Standing Counsel for respondents 2 and 4, this writ petition need not be kept pending and the same is disposed of. No costs.
