No. 3241/2025/R1 and quash the same and consequently direct the 1st Respondent to decide the appeal filed by the Petitioner on 23.01.2026 through registered post which was served to the 1st respondent on 27.01.2026.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by C.Kumarappan J.) The present writ petition has been filed assailing the inter-departmental communication between the 3rd respondent and the Inspector of Police, Karimangalam Police Station.

2. As per the above impugned order, the Tahsildar has referred about the issuance of Section 7 notice under the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act on 21.12.2025. Since the petitioner did not remove the encroachments, he has issued final notice under Section 6 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act on 13.01.2026. Since the Authority wants to take further proceeding in pursuance of the final notice, they sought for a police protection from the concerned jurisdictional Inspector. In this connection, the petitioner cannot have any grievance and such communication is only an interdepartmental communication, which cannot give any cause of action to the petitioner to file a writ petition.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner preferred an appeal under Section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act. The petitioner is at liberty to pursue the appeal in the manner known to law.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed with the above observations. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
