Saravanan v. The State Rep By
Crl.O.P.No.3330 of 2024 C.V.KARTHIKEYAN,J.
The petitioner seeks bail in Crime No.117 of 2023, registered by the respondent police for the offences under Sections 354 and 509 of IPC r/w Section 4 of TNPHW Act, 2002. The petitioner was remanded to judicial custody on 07.06.2023.
2.It is the case of the prosecution that the defacto complainant and her sister went to the shop of the petitioner, to buy stitching materials and at that time, the petitioner had committed the offence. 3.It is also stated that there are three previous cases against the petitioner, two of them under Section 8 of POCSO Act and one under Sections 354 and 509 IPC. It is thus seen that the petitioner has an affinity to commit similar offences.
4.Taking into consideration that fact, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 12.03.2024 ata 1/2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
